If a scanner doesn't send a notification email, or the email format changes without notice, a case may need to be added manually or through the doctor portal instead.

No. SimpleLabOS does not pull files from a scanner's cloud or portal today — there's no direct API or cloud sync. What it does do is parse the notification email the scanner sends when a case is submitted, and auto-create a case card from it. Case files themselves (STL, PLY, OBJ, photos, PDFs) are attached to that card by upload, QR code, secure link, or through the doctor portal.
